As a parent, you are the best suited person to understand your child’s needs and help them in this process of guiding new patterns of functioning. Visiting my office each week would be time consuming for you and not a very efficient way to help your child.

Consider the time you spend to get in your car and drive to the appointment, time spent at the appointment, and time to return home.  If this is done weekly, it can be a strain on everyone.  Spend that time actually with your child doing the activities instead.  Follow up phone calls and e-mails are part of the program agreement. If you have any questions or concerns you may contact the office.

You will be the best advocate for your child so understanding this process should empower you to know how to help your child.
